The Bible teaches that God exists from beginning to everlasting, and that He has given His grace to human kind. It is possible to receive the gift of eternal life by beliving in Jesus Christ, the Word who has become flesh. We hope that everyone who comes to our church will be blessed with the grace of salvation, set free from bondage, and experience new and abundant life through faith in Chrict Jesus. It is for the objective of sharing this blessing with others that MUMC exists.

Mission United Methodist Church (MUMC) is a part of worldwide Methodist Church that has a membership of about 30 million, of which 9 million members reside in the United States. In addition to the English ministry, the United Methodist Church has established ministries in 9 other languages or dialects. In the Bay Area, we are the first and, at the moment, the only Mandarin-based United Methodist Church. MUMC was pioneered by our Emeritus Pastor, Rev. Wesley Yong, who has also pioneered 4 other congregations in his 18 years with Methodist Church in Singapore. In 1985, Rev. Yong came to the U.S. and started the church in Novemble 2001, our new and beatiful church building was dedicated for service to God and the community.
